CBRE Group has sold a retail center in Downey to Remarc Management for roughly $10 million. Arthur Flores, CBREs first vice president, represented the seller, a private, unidentified Orange County-based partnership. Remarc, family investment and management firm based in Mission Viejo, represented itself in this transaction. The property, at 8530 Firestone Blvd. is a two-tenant retail center that has been newly leased to Warehouse Shoe Sale, a West Coast retail shoe store chain, and PIH Health, a nonprofit regional healthcare network.
Irvine Company has signed a lease with workplace law firm Jackson Lewis to a full floor, 22,000 square feet, at its newest office tower, 200 Spectrum Center Drive. The building is now more than 60 percent leased, Irvine Co. said. The company has also signed leases with Altura Associates, Pacific Mercantile Bank, Ryze Capital Partners, and Enterey. The building also will be home to Mazda North American Operations new headquarters, Curse Inc., WeWork and Greenware Systems. Jackson Lewis will move to the 21-story building at Irvine Spectrum this fall. The 425,000-square-foot building features unobstructed 360-degree views and 10 feet of floor-to-ceiling glass to maximize natural lighting and an efficient floor plan.
BLT Enterprises, a commercial real estate investment company based in Santa Monica, has acquired a four-building office portfolio for $28 million, or $164 per square foot, from Cordia Capital Management, a private real estate investment firm based in Los Angeles. The buildings encompass 170,447 square feet and span four Orange County cities. The assets, which encompass an estimated total of 11.19 acres, are 100 percent occupied. The buildings include:
Office building at 2100 S. State College Blvd., Anaheim: Constructed in 1990, this 8,200-square-foot office building is occupied by Securitas Security Services USA.
Office/flex building at 15 Argonaut, Aliso Viejo: Constructed in 1989, this 41,519 square-foot office/flex building is home to Ambry Genetics.
Industrial property at 12640 Knott Street in Garden Grove: This 47,662-square-foot building is occupied by Compass Group USA, a food service management and services company.
Industrial property at 9700 Toledo Way, Irvine: This 73,066-square-foot building is occupied by Exhibitree, a custom design and fabrication builder of trade show exhibits, displays and booths with major clients in the entertainment industry.
Costa Mesa-based Astro Pak Corp. has acquired Florida-based Chemko Technical Services. Terms were not disclosed. The acquired facility will allow the company to adhere to cleaning, and testing and passivation requirements for Southeast aerospace customers, the company said in a press release. All Chemko employees are staying on board. The Chemko facility will be called Chemko, a division of Astro Pak. Astro Pak has 12 cleaning and passivation facilities in the US, Mexico and Puerto Rico. The company works will 11,000 customers in segments including aerospace, biotechnology and household personal care.
